Katayama Chemical was founded in April 1918, Our Amagasaki plant was opened in 1951 and the Sanda plant in 1998. Our work is manufacturing chemical agents, primarily reagents. On the basis of the manufacturing technologies mastered, we now participate in the fields of preventive medicine, environmental analysis, and basic biotechnology study (such as the manufacturing of chemical products, xenodiagnostic products, and medical raw materials).

Our recent work, in recognition of rapid advances currently being made in biotechnology, involves providing helpful support to those who are participating in research and development. We supply the high-quality reagents and analytical instruments they need, whether they are manufactured in Japan or elsewhere in the world. We went to serve as a navigator to researchers in the expanding life sciences and desire to contribute to the creation of environments where these people can concentrate on their important research and development.
